The first official photos of the kit set to be donned by La Liga giants Barcelona away from home next season have, on Thursday, been forthcoming online.

Barca eyeing moves

Ongoings at the Camp Nou have taken centre stage in the European media over the last 48 hours.

This comes amid the stepping up of efforts on the part of the Blaugrana’s board to shape Ronald Koeman’s squad for the 2021/22 campaign.

The main focus has understandably been tieing captain and talisman Lionel Messi down to fresh terms, following the expiration of the Argentine’s contract a fortnight ago.

And such efforts look set to imminently bare fruit, amid widespread confirmation that Messi is on the verge of putting pen to paper on a new long-term contract:

Elsewhere, meanwhile, has been mounting talk of a potential shock swap deal between Barca and La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid.

The move in question would see the former rid themselves of the monstrous wages of Antoine Griezmann, who would return for his 2nd stint in the Spanish capital, with midfielder Saul Niguez heading in the opposite direction.

Some outlets have even gone as far as to suggest that such a transfer is on the verge of completion.

Fresh look

As outlined above, though, on Thursday, focus has shifted away from matters on the personnel front in Catalunya.

Instead, it has turned very much towards the new look set to be sported by Barcelona’s stars when lining out on the road over the course of the 2021/22 campaign.

Nike, the Blaugrana’s kit manufacturers, have opted for an altogether striking design, of purple from head to toe.

The look, which is no doubt set to split opinion amongst supporters, features a lilac-like tone across the jersey, shorts and socks, broken up by a long blue stripe.
