Will Malcom be priced out of a move?
Barcelona will reportedly ask for a fee of €60 million from either Everton or Arsenal for Brazilian winger Malcom this summer.
Malcom did not enjoy a successful first season at the Camp Nou.
The Brazilian attacker signed from Bordeaux last summer, but only played 608 minutes of football in La Liga last season.
In those minutes, he scored one goal and assisted two.
As a result of his struggles, Malcom has recently been linked with a move to both Everton and Arsenal.
It was suggested by Globo recently that the two sides had made respective offers.
However, Barcelona’s asking price has now reportedly been revealed, and it’s not good news for either Premier League side.
Tottenham and Everton ‘track’ Malcom
According to Marca, Barcelona will demand a whopping €60 million for the Brazilian winger.
Even with his first-team chances set to be limited further after Antoine Griezmann’s signing, Barcelona are looking to make a hefty profit.
Marca’s report claims that ‘Barcelona won’t allow Malcom to go cheaply and that would mean that a fee of at least 60 million euros would be demanded, particularly given the wide range of clubs interested.’
Marca add that Everton and Tottenham are two clubs that have ‘tracked him in recent months’.
Their report also explains that ‘For now, there are no offers on the table, but several clubs have made contact.’
If they are told about that asking price, you would imagine that there will be little movement in the near future.
