Barcelona steal a march on Arsenal with approach for Luis Enrique’s successor

In a season of lows, the 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern in the Champions League was a new low for the Wenger regime.

So of course, the Wenger Out Brigade are back out in full force, and the media is focusing in on Arsene’s future, and whether he’ll stay beyond this season.

The Arsenal board have reportedly tabled a new 2-year contract for Wenger, as his current deal runs out at the end of this season.

But he’s yet to put pen to paper, and sent a cryptic message a few weeks ago, insisting that he would definitely be managing next season – ‘whether that’s at Arsenal or somewhere else.’

And he added to the speculation with his quotes at the weekend, saying a decision has already been made regarding his future.

Does that mean he’s leaving? If so, then the board need to be looking for a replacement asap.

Barcelona approach Allegri

Well, they’ve already lost ground on Barcelona if that is the case.

Because the Catalan giants have already made an approach to Juve boss Max Allegri in their search for Luis Enrique’s successor, as reported by Italian media Premium Sport.

Anyone who watches Arsenal Fan TV will know that Allegri is very popular among the ‘Wenger Out’ Brigade – but it looks like they may have to scratch him off their shortlist now.
