Barcelona star congratulates Cristiano Ronaldo after stunning goal

One Barcelona star has revealed that he was lost for words after watching Cristiano Ronaldo’s stunning overhead kick for Real Madrid against Juventus.

The Portuguese star grabbed all the headlines when he rose to meet a cross from Dani Carvajal but used his creativity to create a memorable goal.

So much so that the Juventus fans give the player a standing ovation, much to Ronaldo’s delight.

Though, Juventus fans were not the only opposition fans impressed, as Ivan Rakitic admitted he was lost for words after seeing the goal.

“We have to congratulate Ronaldo on his goal, it was awesome,” he told reportedly told the press.

“It is difficult to find the right words. 

“Real Madrid dominated all aspects of their match and played really well, so we have to congratulate them.”

Not getting carried away

While Rakitic was clearly impressed by Madrid, he is not yet thinking about facing them.

That is because he has explained that Barcelona must be at their best and continue improving if they are to win the Champions League.

“We do not think about Madrid, we concentrate on ourselves and how we can improve in every match, to enjoy playing together,” he added.

“I understand that people like to talk about other things but we are playing in the Champions League and there are more teams than just us and Madrid.

“It is a really strong tournament this season and we will have to be at our best if we are to win it.”
