Chelsea 1 – Atletico Madrid 1
Chelsea completed their Champions League group with a 1-1 home draw with Atletico Madrid.
The result meant that Atletico dropped into the Europa League after they finished third in the group.
As for Chelsea, they ended up as runners-up behind Serie A side Roma, after the Italians beat Qarabag 1-0 on Tuesday.
At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea had to rally from going 1-0 to a Saul header from a corner early in the second half.
A Stefan Savic own goal, under pressure from the in-form Eden Hazard, earned Chelsea a share of the spoils.
Barcelona or PSG?
So who will Chelsea get in the last-16 of the Champions League?
Premier League champions will face one of Barcelona, PSG or Besiktas in the last 16 of the tournament.
If Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool beat Spartak Moscow on Wednesday, Chelsea would have a 43% chance of drawing Barcelona in the knockout phase.
Eden Hazard: ‘No problem’
After the Atletico Madrid match, Eden Hazard spoke about Chelsea’s potential last 16 opponents.
While some Blues fans may be concerned about who they’ll draw, Hazard said its “no problem”:
It’s not a problem. We are Chelsea. We can face any team. We know PSG and Barcelona, they are very good. But we are Chelsea and we have to be ready for everything. We can do everything.
