Barcelona have won the La Liga title, pipping Real Madrid at the post on the final matchday.
The Clasico rivals came into this final game of the season with the title still up for grabs; a point ahead, the Catalans knew that if they won their game, they would be crowned Spanish champions.
Madrid, for their part, had to win against Deportivo La Coruna while hoping that Granada could do them a favour by at least getting a draw against Barcelona.
But it proved plain enough sailing for Barcelona in Andalusia, and a Luis Suarez brace was enough for them to win it.
Madrid did their job against Depor, but are left to console themselves with 2nd place.
A subplot to today’s La Liga finale was the race for the Pichichi: Suarez came into the final game on 39 goals, Ronaldo on 40.
And with Suarez scoring a hat-trick as Barcelona won 3-0 (Ronaldo scored two), the Uruguayan walked away with the gong.

I know why Ronaldo choked in the Pichichi and I am not going to say anything more than that. You can think whatever you like.

Barcelona really did get a bargain. £75m for Luis Suarez? How much would he cost now? He has to be Ballon D'Or favourite at this point.
