Barcelona have made a third bid for Willian according to Sky Sports, with Chelsea struggling to hold on to their top players this summer.
The bid is thought to be in excess of £55 million, with Barcelona desperate to add to their forward line.
Given Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are off the market, with both claiming they want to remain at PSG, Chelsea face losing not only one of their best attacking players but both of them, with Real Madrid keen on Eden Hazard as well.
It’s terrible news for the Blues, who have left it late in the window to do business due to their issues with manager Antonio Conte, who refused to leave the club without a suitable payout – and is even considering suing them to boot.
Chelsea want to keep their best players, but are realistic enough to know that when the likes of Real Madrid come calling, it’s hard for players to say no.
Hazard has made it clear he’s a huge fan of Real Madrid, and would love to play for them – and that, coupled with his contractual situation and the fact Chelsea may even lose him for free if they dig their heels in and force him to see out his contract means the Blues will consider reasonable offers – which Real Madrid are starting to make.
It’s thought they also want Thibaut Courtois, another top player and someone Chelsea are going to find very hard to replace.
