Lindelof’s time in Manchester
Victor Lindelof made the switch to Manchester United in the summer of 2017, moving from Benfica.
Man United are believed to have paid around £31m for the centre-back’s services.
Despite the pretty hefty price-tag for a defender, Lindelof didn’t get off to the best of starts for United.
During the 2017/18 season, the Swedish international made just 17 Premier League appearances.
The 2018/19 campaign, however, saw Lindelof improve massively, and he is now arguably the club’s best central-defender.
After a solid 2018/19, Lindelof has been linked with a move away from Man United.
It has been reported that FC Barcelona are showing an interest in him.
However, Lindelof has recently spoken out about his United future, and claims that he is very happy in Manchester:
“I’m very, very happy to be a Manchester United player and I’m really looking forward to this season to start and very happy here.
“That’s my answer to that.
“I always felt like a Manchester United player but last season was a better season for me, I performed better than I did in my first, pretty.
“I’m happy that people think that [he’s the best central defender at the club].
“I’m just trying to do my best every day and that’s what I work hard for every day to help the team and the club, so yeah.” As quoted by the Mirror.
