Chelsea 0 – Manchester City 1
What a win for Man City. And what a result for Pep Guardiola, who has finally beaten Chelsea.
Prior to Saturday’s Premier League match at Stamford Bridge, Guardiola had four draws and three defeats in matches against Chelsea.
That all changed this weekend thanks to a brilliant goal from Kevin De Bruyne in the second half.
It was De Bruyne’s first of the season in the league, after he opened his account for the season against Shakthar in the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola after the Chelsea game
After the full time whistle blew, Pep Guardiola stepped out onto the pitch to congratulate his players.
It was a fantastic three points which could propel Pep to winning his first Premier League title with the Sky Blues.
Amid all the celebrations the Man City boss also made a beeline to speak to a couple of specific Chelsea players.
They were Cesc Fabregas and Pedro, who both played for Guardiola during his glory days at Barcelona.

It’s worth remembering the storm in teacup which resulted after the 2016 match between Chelsea and Man City.
After that game, Guardiola was accused of snubbed Cesc Fabregas in the post game hi-fives.

At that time, Spanish paper Marca claimed Guardiola’s relationship with Fabregas broke down when the former Arsenal man returned to Barcelona in 2011.
Guardiola was supposedly made to sign Fabregas by the influential Barca players Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique and others.
Was Pep cold to Cesc?
Some fans took to social media to suggest GUardiola was far happier to see Pedro than Fabregas.
See the tweets below.
I'm probably totally reading into this BUT did u see how engaged Pep was w/ Pedro after the game but barely made eye contact w/ Cesc?

saw that. Long hug with Pedro and possibly wouldn't have noticed Cesc if he hadn't reached out

Pep embracing Pedro but barely giving Cesc a handshake 🙃

Pep embraces Pedro and talks to him
Cesc walks up to Pep, handshake and adios
Pep doesn't want anything to do with the snake
