Summer reunion on the cards?
Barcelona are reportedly considering a move to re-sign Wolves’ Adama Traore, who left the Camp Nou back in 2015 for Aston Villa.
The winger has been brilliant in the Premier League this season.
Despite his career stalling somewhat after his time at Villa, he has since started to fulfil his potential at Wolves.
Traore had to drop down to the Championship with Middlesborough to rebuild his career, after their relegation.
His form in the Premier League with Wolves, though, has impressed many.
The Spaniard has scored four goals and assisted seven so far this campaign.
Now, following his impressive performances, Barcelona are reportedly considering a move to bring him back to the Camp Nou.
Barcelona weigh up move for Adama Traore
According to the Mail, Barcelona are weighing up a move ahead of the summer transfer window.
The La Liga giants are in need of some reinforcements in attack.
Ousmane Dembele has suffered another setback in his injury recovery, while Luis Suarez is also out with a long-term problem.
This could see Barcelona turn to Traore, though they wouldn’t be able to get him cheap.
According to the Mail’s report, “He is under contract at Molineux until the summer of 2023, meaning they are under no pressure to sell. It is thought Barcelona no longer have a buy-back option on Traore — that disappeared when he moved from Villa to Boro in 2016.”
As a result, Wolves would look to demand ‘a huge price’ for the Spaniard.
Traore actually suffered an injury in Wolves’ last game, against Manchester United.
While it looked as though he could be set for a spell on the sidelines, Nuno Espírito Santo gave an optimistic update following the clash.
