Barcelona v Malaga

Barcelona started round nine of La Liga in first place as they welcomed Malaga to the Camp Nou.

The Catalans came into the game following a 3-1 win over Olympiakos in the Champions League.

Leo Messi was the star of the show against the Greeks. He scored a free-kick to notch his 100th European goal for Barca.

Gerard Deulofeu scores after a horror call

Malaga fell behind after just two minutes of the match.

Barcelona worked the ball down the left hand side, before former Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu arrived in the box to fire home.

But the Barcelona goal should never have stood.

That’s because Catalan left-back Lucas Digne clearly ran the ball out of play in the build up to the goal.

How did the officials not spot that the ball had crossed the touchline? To be honest, it wasn’t even a close call.

Real Madrid v Eibar

Real Madrid take on Eibar in the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night.

Los Blancos are playing catch up to Barcelona having dropped points in the opening rounds of the new season.

Real Betis beat Real 1-0 in Madrid back in September. While Real’s home troubles in the league began back in August when they were held to draws against Valencia and Levante.

As for Eibar, they are trying to keep their heads above the drop-zone with seven points from their first eight games.

Keylor Navas misses out with a groin problem, while Mateo Kovacic and Gareth Bale are also still sidelined with knocks.

Dani Carvajal is unlikely to feature as he continues to recover from a heart problem, while Raphael Varane is doubtful.
