Bad news for West Ham, amazing news for Crystal Palace

West Ham vs Crystal Palace

There’s a London derby in the Premier League on Tuesday as West Ham take on Crystal Palace.

When the sides met at Selhurst Park before the new year, the sides shared the spoils in a 4-goal thriller.

Wilfried Zaha scored a 96th minute equaliser for Palace as the Hammers were denied what would have been a big away win.

Having both looked like relegation-doomed sides earlier in the campaign, both West Ham and Palace have managed to escape the bottom three.

But are they out of danger? Definitely not.

West Ham are 11th but they are just four points above the bottom three. Palace are 13th with just a three point buffer from the drop zone.

Bad news for West Ham

David Moyes met the press on Monday before the Eagles game, and the Hammers boss confirmed he’s missing a boatload of players.

Moyes could be without as many as 13 first-team players on Tuesday night.

The players definitely out of the game are as follows: Mark Noble, Cheikhou Kouyate, Michail Antonio, Pedro Obiang, Andy Carroll, Manuel Lanzini, Marko Arnautovic, Jose Fonte, Winston Reid and Edimilson Fernandes.

Arthur Masuaku begins his six match suspension, while Diafra Sakho has now moved to Rennes.

Andre Ayew is struggling with a hamstring problem and he’s a doubt.

In sunnier news, Euro 2016 winner Joao Mario could make his Premier League debut for the Hammers. The midfielder is on loan from Inter Milan.

Amazing news for Crystal Palace

As for Crystal Palace, they’ve received a triple boost before Tuesday.

Three key players are back in contention for Roy Hodgson after injuries: Mamadou Sahko, Joel Ward and Yohan Cabaye.

Jeffrey Schlupp, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Connor Wickham, Jason Puncheon and Scott Dann remain injured for Palace.
