Bad news for Real Madrid as star man set for injury layoff

Real Madrid have announced that defender Raphaël Varane has a grade 2 muscle strain in his left hamstring and could face a lengthy layoff.

The club announced that test took place at Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital and he will undergo further tests shortly.

The Frenchman has impressed at times this season and is one of the hottest defensive prospects in European football.

Now, he could be set to spend some time on the sidelines at the club remain cautious over pushing him in at the deep end.

Los Blancos face Villareal this Sunday as Varane will look on from the stands, as the club can go four points clear at the top.

Monaco duo on Madrid radar

Monaco starlets Bernardo Silva and Kylian Mbappe are said to be the subject of interest from Real Madrid.

The pair have impressed this season and showed their worth in Monaco’s Champions League tie with Manchester City.
