Bad news for Romelu Lukaku before Watford & Wolves

Man United & Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has been out injured during the international break.

Lukaku sustained a foot injury before the FA Cup defeat at Wolves.

On Wednesday the Manchester Evening News have posted an update on Lukaku’s fitness status, and it’s not great news.

Good for Watford & Wolves

Man United take on Watford at Old Trafford this weekend.

The Red Devils then travel to Molineux to face Wolves in midweek Premier League action.

According to the M.E.N it’s unlikely that Lukaku will be fit for those matches:

Romelu Lukaku could miss Manchester United’s upcoming fixtures with Watford and Wolves as he continues his rehabilitation from a foot injury.

Lukaku’s return date was described as ‘unpredictable’, though United have an eight-day gap between their Premier League trip to Wolves on Tuesday and Champions League quarter-final first leg at home to Barcelona.

Marcus Rashford injury concerns

Without Lukaku, Marcus Rashford is the natural choice to play centre-forward for Man United in their upcoming games.

However Rashford is also carrying injury concerns after he left the England camp.

It’s believed Rashford has been less than 100% since suffering an injury against Liverpool.

That said, you’d have to assume that Rashford will play against Watford and Wolves.

At the same time, Alexis Sanchez remains on the sidelines with injury. The Chilean could also miss the next two to three weeks.
