Bad news for Manchester City: Bernardo Silva is injured

Bernardo Silva is injured with Portugal

We are currently in the midst of yet another international break.

As if often the case during the breaks, many Premier League clubs are losing some of their top stars to injury.

The latest of which is Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva who is currently on international duty with Portugal.

Silva would play the full 90 minutes as Portugal were held to a 0-0 draw with Italy on Saturday the 17th of November.

Portugal’s next and final UEFA Nations League game sees them take on Poland on Tuesday evening.

However, ahead of the game, it has been revealed that Silva is unavailable for the clash with Poland following medical and diagnostic tests.

West Ham vs Manchester City

The full extent of Silva’s injury has not been specified.

But Silva is now a doubt for Manchester City’s upcoming game with West Ham on the 24th of November.

Manchester City are still without star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne making Silva’s injury an even bigger blow.

Bernardo Silva did not have the best 2017/18 season with City and was somewhat of an afterthought in their record-breaking season.

This year, however, Silva is really coming into his own.

The midfielder has featured in all 12 of City’s league games this season, in which he has scored three and assisted three.

Silva has also scored twice in four Champions League appearances.

But it now looks likely City will have to face West Ham without both Bernardo Silva and KDB.

Man City go into the game top of the league having won 10 and drawn two.

West Ham, on the other hand, come into the game 13th in the league having won three, drawn three and lost six.
