Arsenal & recruitment
The shakeup at Arsenal has been significant in the last twelve months.
Perhaps the most important switch has been Unai Emery replacing Arsene Wenger on the touchline.
However Ivan Gazidis joining AC Milan also impacted the board structure at the Emirates Stadium.
On the recruitment side of things, Sven Mislinat only lasted a short while with Arsenal.
There’s been plenty of talk that the Gunners are seeking to appoint a director of football who will oversee transfers.
Roma’s Monchi has been named as a possible target.
Yet, on Saturday night, it appears that Monchi is going to Sevilla.
Estadio Deportivo (local Sevilla paper) reporting that Monchi has agreed to return to Sevilla. He has been given pretty much full power to do as he pleases as he returns to the club, they state https://t.co/U44bC1NmDP

Sevilla ‘agree’ Monchi deal
Local Sevilla paper Estadio Deportivo have announced that Monchi has agreed to return to Sevilla.
Monchi is heading to Sevilla as he’s been given significant authority to execute on his plans.
While the parties appear to have a verbal agreement, the paperwork still needs to be completed.
Estadio Deportivo say Monchi hopes to resolve his future in the next few days.
Of course, Monchi used to work at Sevilla before he joined Roma. Monchi worked as the director of football at Sevilla for 17 years.
That included Unai Emery’s spell at the club. However it appears that the Gunners manager has been unable to convince he former workmate to join him in London.
