It is believed City will take their time to handle a sensitive issue as they try to bring Mahrez back into training and will hold talks with Mahrez’s representatives, and if talks are not successful the Professional Footballers’ Association could be asked to provide assistance.
Leicester are eighth in the Premier League, four points ahead of Bournemouth.
