Eden Hazard 2 – West Ham 0
Chelsea beat West Ham 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Monday night in the Premier League as Eden Hazard stole the show.
Hazard scored one of the goals of the season to fire the Blues into a first half lead.
The Belgian, who has been consistently linked with a move to Real Madrid, carved open the West Ham backline to convert a sublime solo effort.
Hazard doubled his tally late in the second half to boost Chelsea’s top four hopes.
The win lifted Chelsea up into third in the table about Tottenham and Arsenal.
Maurizio Sarri on Real Madrid rumours
After the match, Maurizio Sarri told the media that he and the Blues can do little to stop Hazard joining Real Madrid this summer:
I cannot do anything, I think, because the club agrees with me: if Eden wants to have another experience, it is very difficult to keep him.
I’m sure the club doesn’t want to sell him. But, of course, we all have to respect his decision, I think. He’s in the last season of his contract. If he wants to have another experience, we’ll respect that. We’ll try, of course, in any way to convince him [to stay], but it’s not easy.
Sarri also revealed his belief that it will be “impossible” for Chelsea to replace Hazard if he goes:
It’s impossible to find another Hazard. At the moment there isn’t another Hazard, [his] level is so high. You’d have to find two players to make the level of Hazard.

What Hazard said about Real Madrid
West Ham fans sung “he’s off to Madrid” during the Chelsea game.
Hazard reacted to those chants after the match, saying:
They are wrong. I am focused with Chelsea until the end of the season.
We still have top four and Europa League [to fight for]. There is still a lot to do and then we will see.
