Bad for Barcelona: Philippe Coutinho on his Liverpool future

Philippe Coutinho & Barcelona

It’s commonplace to see daily updates on Philippe Coutinho’s Liverpool future in the English and Spanish press.

Coutinho has been linked with a move to Barcelona ever since Neymar left the Camp Nou to join PSG.

That’s opened the door for the tabloids. Some have claimed Coutinho could leave Liverpool in January, while others have speculated that Barcelona could finally land their top target at the end of the season.

But now Coutinho has spoken.

Amazing news for Liverpool

This week sees Brazil take on England in an international friendly.

Liverpool’s Coutinho is expected to feature for the South Americans at Wembley. And ahead of the game the playmaker has opened up about his Anfield future.

Delivering great news for Liverpool, Coutinho has revealed his plans to stay with Jurgen Klopp:

I’m playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world.

I’m always happy.  But now it’s important to concentrate on the national team. At the moment I am very happy with my life.

Every day, I work harder than before to improve myself and become a better all-around footballer.

England v Brazil

England versus Brazil is always an iconic fixture and this should be an intriguing match between two of the biggest sides in international football.

The Three Lions will be looking to build on their 0-0 draw with Germany on Friday night.

Whilst Brazil’s manager Tite and their squad will be hoping to test themselves against a side from Western Europe.

Phil Jones is a major doubt for this game and will surely not be risked. Jones went off against Germany due to a fine goal line clearance.

Gareth Southgate has another chance to rotate but looks set to stick with the formation that did well against Germany.

Brazil made a number of changes against Japan and should have most of their star players available for England.
