Tottenham vs Arsenal
The excitement is already building ahead of a huge match in the Premier League on Saturday.
For the second time this season, Tottenham will take on Arsenal in the north London derby.
Skhodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez were the heroes for the Gunners on that occasion.
Yet, ahead of this weekend’s match at Wembley, Tottenham are four points clear of their local rivals in the table.
Just one point behind Chelsea, Tottenham are fifth in the EPL with 49 points on the board. Arsenal are in sixth on 45 points.
Will either side be able to break into the top four to secure Champions League football for the 2018-19 season?
Petr Cech set to miss the north London derby
According to the Telegraph, Arsenal are likely to be without Petr Cech for the Tottenham game.
Cech was forced out of last weekend’s 5-1 win against Everton. He was replaced by David Ospina, and it seems that the Colombian keeper will stay in goal this weekend too:
Petr Cech is likely to miss his first Premier League match of the season in Saturday’s North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
The expectation is that he will not be recovered for Saturday.
It would mean David Ospina coming back into the team after playing almost exclusively in the cup competitions since Cech’s arrival in 2015.
Some Arsenal fans may welcome Ospina in goal in the NLD. In recent weeks Cech has made some high profile clangers in the Arsenal net.
Indeed, Cech has been sitting on 199 Premier League clean sheets for weeks, but he’s been unable to reach the magic 200 number.
