Pierre Emerick Aubameyang scores against Everton

Aubameyang’s impressive Premier League stats since Arsenal arrival

The statistics surrounding the impressive start to life in the Premier League made by Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have come to the fore online this afternoon.

Done deal

The story surrounding Aubameyang’s future was one of the talking points of the winter transfer window, after Arsenal targeted the prolific African following Alexis Sanchez’s departure for Manchester United.

The Gunners’ fortnight-long chase of Borussia Dortmund’s star man eventually came to a close on transfer deadline day in January, when the capital outfit agreed to fork over 63.5 million Euro to bring Aubameyang to the Emirates.

On fire

After finding the net on his Arsenal debut versus Everton, Aubameyang subsequently went through a questionable patch of form over the remaining weeks of February, struggling to make an impact during clashes with Tottenham and Manchester City (twice).

However, the blistering attacker has since come good over the last month, finding the net in consecutive fixtures with Brighton, Watford, Stoke (2) and Southampton.

Comparison

And Aubameyang’s upturn in form has not gone unnoticed amongst the statisticians of the Premier League, with EA Sports having this afternoon revealed that the former Dortmund man’s return of 6 goals in his first 7 outings in the Premier League was only bettered by Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero amongst players currently plying their trade in the English top-flight.

In addition, Auba’s goals-per-minute ratio of 102 is bettered by only 3 players to this point in the Premier League campaign, as showcased by the table below:

Mohamed Salah Liverpool 2483 29 86
