The most ridiculous red card of all time?

The World Cup qualifier between Greece and Bosnia-Herzegovina threw up one of the most ridiculous red cards of all time on Sunday night.

Edin Dzeko was involved in an incident with Greece central defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos with just over 10 minutes remaining. At the time, Bosnia-Herzegovina were leading 1-0.

Dzeko got tangled with Papastathopoulos and pulled his shorts down to which the Roma striker then received a red card.

Another Greece defender in Kiriakos Papadopoulos was also sent off but Borussia Dortmund’s Papastathopoulos was only booked for the incident.

Greece found an equaliser in the 95th minute through Georgios Tzavellas.

The Dzeko red card, as you would expect, has gone viral over the last 18 hours or so and the latest to weigh in on the incident is Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon striker took aim at his Borussia Dortmund team mate Sokratis Papastathopoulos, who’s pants were pulled down by Dzeko.

Aubameyang posted the clip on Instagram and wrote: “That moment when papa Sokratis stop football for stripper work” cue lots of crying with laughter emojis.

The Dortmund hitman also added in German: “Papaaaaa was los mit dir alter” – “Papaaaaa was too old” about his 28-year-old team mate.
