Arsenal destroy Everton in the first half
That’s one way to make fans forget about losing to Swansea!
Arsenal were sensational in the first half on Saturday against Everton in the Premier League.
Henrikh Mkhitrayan was in the starting XI for his first Arsenal match at the Emirates Stadium.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was also in the Gunners XI to make his debut following his January move from Borussia Dortmund.
Arsenal went 3-up against Everton after 19 minutes.
The Gunners carved Everton open with a brilliant opener. Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mhkitaryan all combined before Aaron Ramsey scored.
Laurent Koscielny doubled Arsenal’s lead with a header from a corner. Ramsey made it 3-nil with a long range deflected strike.

Aubameyang’s Arsenal debut goal vs Everton
And then the moment came which every Arsenal fan was waiting for.
In the 37th minute, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his first goal for Arsenal.
The Gabonese striker was freed by a lovely pass from Mhkitaryan. Aubameyang showed his pace to race clean through, and he finished with a superb dinked finish.
But Aubameyang’s goal shouldn’t have counted.
Replays clearly showed that Aubameyang was offside from Mhkitaryan played him in. To be honest it wasn’t that close a call.
Arsenal fans, of course, couldn’t care about the bad decision from the officials. They were over the moon to see the former Borussia Dortmund team mates work so well together once again.
The goal also revealed just how quick Aubameyang is to a Premier League audience.
As for Everton’s poor fans, a load of them left the Emirates Stadium before the halftime whistle even blew.
