Atletico Madrid are set to host the Champions League final in the 2018/19 season at their new incredible season Wanda Metropolitano.
The Spanish giants have made it to several finals in the past five years but have yet to win the trophy in that time.
Atletico have been beaten twice by Madrid rivals Real in Champions League finals much to their disappointment, a Sergio Ramos header sinking them in one of them.
Now, they are set to play host for two of Europe’s best clubs in the 2018/19 season in their new incredible stadium.
The Wanda Metropolitano has been getting rave reviews this week after pictures were released of the beautiful spectacle of its opening.
The stadium, which was actually first opened in 1994, used to hold 20,000 fans but has since been completely renovated to be Atletico’s new home.
The stadium will be able to accommodate 67,703 spectators and has a beautiful atmospheric feeling that will get your heart racing.
With any luck, Atletico Madrid may be playing in their own backyard if they can make it to the final.

Atletico make their last offer for Costa
One story that has no doubt dominated the headlines in recent months is Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid.
Following a decent season for the Londoners, Costa was told by Antonio Conte that he would not be in his plans for this year.
That prompted a summer of turbulence for the player, as he refused to return to the club and is still on strike.
Atletico are looking to bring him back to Spain and Costa has revealed that is the only destination he wants.
