Herrera’s time at Man United
Ander Herrera joined Manchester United in July of 2014 for a fee of around £32.4m.
Since moving to Old Trafford, Herrera has racked up 177 games for Manchester United.
In those 177 games, Herrera has scored 19 and assisted seven.
The Spaniard has also helped Man United win the FA Cup, League Cup, Europa League and Community Shield.
Herrera is now 29 years of age and his current deal with Manchester United is set to run out in July of this year.
Granted, Herrera has been playing more minutes under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but there is no guarantee Solskjaer will be made United’s permanent boss in the summer.

As a result, Herrera may well be seen as surplus to requirements by an incoming boss and then allowed to leave on a free.
Athletic Bilbao eyeing Herrera return
One team who are already keen to sign Herrera is his former club, Athletic Bilbao.
Herrera arrived at Bilbao in 2011 for a fee in the region of £6.7m.
The midfielder would go on to play 128 games across all competitions for Bilbao, in which he scored 11 and assisted 19.
Now, Athletic Bilbao sporting director Rafa Alkorta has confirmed they are once again interested in signing Herrera:
“We are interested in Javi Martinez, Ibai Gomez, Ander Herrera, Fernando Llorente…all of them interest us.
“Nothing is easy but we are interested in having all of the ones that can come. We have not made any moves yet. We will start on Tuesday and we will see what can be done.”
