Chelsea looked set to continue their fine run of form under Graham Potter by beating Aston Villa.
Chelsea had won their last three league matches before Sunday and as a result, were up to 4th in the Premier League.
The Blues also recently did the double over AC Milan in the Champions League, likely securing their spot in the Round of 16.
As for Aston Villa, they were down in 16th place in the Premier League ahead of GW11 and had won just one in five.
And when all was said and done on Sunday, Chelsea came away with the win.
Chelsea took less than six minutes to open the scoring. Ben Chilwell’s cross was poorly cleared by Tyrone Mings, falling straight to Mason Mount who slotted in with ease to make it 1-0.

Expert view
25 – Aged 23 years and 279 days, Mason Mount is the second-youngest player to score 25 Premier League goals for Chelsea, after Eden Hazard (23 years 271 days). Established. pic.twitter.com/jATgyY3l4S

Same pattern as the back end of last season for #AVFC
– Individual mistake costs them
– Loads of chances go beggingA lot to take from that first-half attacking display. I just wonder if those chances had been created had Villa not conceded so early…
