Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has suffered another injury after he was forced to leave the field when the Gunners took on Southampton.
After limping off the field with what looked like it could be a hamstring injury, a downbeat Wenger noted that he could well miss 7-10 days, meaning the FA Cup final would come too soon for him.
Not only that, but the Gunners are also in a vital fight for the top four, and need all their players fit and ready to play.
Wenger said: “It’s a hamstring problem, but we don’t know how bad it is.”
Alexis the hero
One star who is always ready for the Gunners is Alexis Sanchez, who has now scored 14 times away from home this season, meaning he’s the player with the most away goals in the whole of the Premier League.
Alexis has been the main man for Arsenal this season, and will look to fire them into the top four and to victory in the FA Cup – something that may even convince him to stay and sign a new deal with the Gunners, or at least see out his contract.
