Arsenal’s second bid for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney
According to the Times on Monday, Arsenal have lodged a second unsuccessful bid to try to sign Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney.
Arsenal’s interest in the Scottish international has become apparent over the weekend.
Unai Emery’s first bid was valued at 15 million pounds, while the Times report that Arsenal upped that offer on Sunday.
Celtic reject Arsenal again
The Daily Record also report on Arsenal’s second offer for Tierney. Readers are told:
Celtic have booted out a second bid from Arsenal for Kieran Tierney.
The Times reports the new offer was rejected by Parkhead chief Peter Lawwell who won’t budge for less than the record £19.8m received for Moussa Dembele last season.

Everton & Napoli
Could Arsenal run the risk of missing out on Tierney altogether?
Maybe, as both the Times and Daily Record note that Everton and Napoli are considering moves for the Celtic defender as well.
Does Tierney to Everton make sense?
In the past few days, Everton have confirmed a contract extension with 34-year-old Leighton Baines.
The sense is that Everton are looking at Tierney as a possible long-term successor to Baines.
But what about Lucas Digne? Surely Everton are already well-stocked at left-back now?
Critically, while Everton have been linked to the Scottish international, the Toffees are yet to make an official move for Tierney.
Celtic & Kieran Tierney
Tierney is under contract at Celtic until 2023.
Last season, he played 40 matches in all competitions for Celtic. He scored once and contributed six assists.
The Times indicate that Arsenal may have to play by Celtic’s rules if they hope to complete a deal for Tierney:
Celtic are determined to play hardball over Tierney… If Tierney is allowed to leave the club he has always supported the manger will expect it to be on Celtic’s terms.

I’ve watched Kieran Tierney now maybe 50 times, for Celtic, for Scotland, in European competition. He is a brilliant left-back who would easily hold his own in the top half of the English Premier League. £15m for Tierney would be sheer theft.👇 https://t.co/uuEUGHty6i
