Arsenal’s Petr Cech set for Chelsea return

Arsenal’s Petr Cech & Chelsea

The Times on Monday have a short update on Petr Cech’s next career move.

Cech’s days at Arsenal are almost over.

On Sunday, after Arsenal’s disappointing 1-1 home draw against Brighton, Cech was given a farewell on the Emirates Stadium pitch.

The Czech Republic keeper is leaving the Gunners this summer after his contract expires.

According to the Times, Cech is likely to return to Chelsea. Readers are told:

Cech is expected to return to Chelsea in a technical or advisory role as part of a restructuring process at Stamford Bridge.

Aaron Ramsey says goodbye to Arsenal

Also on Sunday, Aaron Ramsey got his opportunity to say goodbye to Arsenal.

Ramsey is leaving north London at the end of the season as a free agent.

The Welsh midfielder is joining Juventus to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

What Ramsey said about leaving Arsenal

It’s very emotional. It’s been a hell of a journey and 11 years of my life. So much has happened. When I look back, you can see from my voice how much it means to me.

It has been a strange year. I’m still an Arsenal player. My career has been mainly here, so focusing on every game for Arsenal has been quite a challenge. I’ve managed to do that and give everything in every game.

Now I can really let that sink in. I’m going to be going to a club that’s playing in the Champions League, playing with [Cristiano] Ronaldo. I can really look forward to that challenge.
