Arsenal star Jack Wilshere’s form has been impressive for the Gunners this season and he has finally made the central role at the club his again.
Having been hit with injury after injury, the player was shipped out on loan to Bournemouth in which he performed decently.
Another injury had him return to Arsenal and given one last chance to prove he could make it at the Emirates.
Thankfully, he grasped that chance and since making his return in the youth sides, he has been an inspiring player for the side.
His latest performance came last night against Chelsea in which the player scored the Gunners first goal.
Now, he has revealed just why he feels the best he ever has.
“I have been dairy and gluten-free now for six weeks,” Wilshere explained to the London Evening Standard.
“I feel that I look better, I have certainly lost a bit of weight, and am leaner. I am probably fitter as well.
“I feel sharper and quicker on the pitch. I feel like I can last longer.
“For example, at the end of the Chelsea game when we scored the second goal, I felt, ‘Come on, we can go on again here’. I was pressing them and felt good.
“I know my body well, I know the right foods to eat and the best way to recover. I’m also getting the right amount of sleep.
“I’ve learned that over the years and I think I’m in the best shape I have ever been.”
