Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe responds to comparisons with Man United’s Bruno Fernandes
Arsenal down Newcastle
Arsenal were in Premier League action on Monday evening.
The Gunners welcomed Newcastle to the Emirates, aiming to bounce back from a disappointing 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace, and climb into the top half of the English top-flight in the process.
And, when all was said and done, pick up all 3 points is exactly what the north Londoners managed.
The opening 45 proved pretty dull, with neither side having carved out too many chances.
In the second-half, though, Arsenal went on to completely dominate, eventually coming away with a 3-0 win.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring five minutes after the break, after being played in by Thomas Partey.
Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka then combined 10 minutes later to double the home side’s advantage.
And with just over 10 minutes remaining, Aubameyang added his second of the day to kill the game off.

Smith Rowe on Fernandes comparisons
Following Arsenal’s win over Newcastle, it was revealed that only Manchester United standout Bruno Fernandes has created more chances than Emile Smith Rowe in the Premier League since December 26th.
In turn, post-game, the Arsenal youngster was drawn on comparisons to the Portuguese magician.
And Smith Rowe went on to explain:
“I look up to Bruno Fernandes as a player. His stats are crazy!”
