Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka ready to challenge Alexandre Lacazette

Sheffield United vs Arsenal

Arsenal are set to take on Sheffield United on Monday evening.

The Gunners will kick-off at Bramall Lane sitting 5th in the Premier League.

However, a win vs Chris Wilder’s side would see Arsenal move up to 3rd in the English top-flight.

As for Sheffield United, they are currently 15th in the PL, but they could move as high as 7th, should they come away with all three points on Monday.

Saka on Lacazette

Heading into the Sheffield United tie, Arsenal were handed a big boost.

Alexandre Lacazette has been out of action since September 1st, when Arsenal took on Tottenham.

However, Unai Emery reported last week that the Frenchman was back in training, and that the club would decide if the forward can feature vs the Blades.

In Lacazette’s absence, Bukayo Saka has been one of the players stepping up to help fill the attacking void.

Saka has featured in Arsenal’s last three Premier League outings, and doesn’t sound as though he is ready to give up that regular first-team football for a returning Lacazette.

When speaking about Lacazette, Saka stated that he feels ready to challenge him:

“Do I feel ready to challenge him? Yeah!

“It’s always good to have all our best players available, all of us competing makes us push to play better and better. If one player is injured then others get an opportunity but I want everyone to come back and do the best for Arsenal.

“The boss knows what I can do, what the other players can do. Different games require different players but I feel like I’ve shown the boss he can trust me. Whatever game he puts me I’ll always give it my all.” As quoted by the Evening Standard.
