Not great timing
Arsenal have been dealt a major injury blow ahead of their incredibly important Europa League clash with AC Milan on Thursday.
The Gunners are on a run of five consecutive losses and their next opponents come in the form of the Italian giants.
Gennaro Gattuso has transformed the side since taking over and they are currently on a very rich run of form.
That means that Arsene Wenger’s side couldn’t be facing them at a worse time and the Frenchman’s future could be clearer after this round.
Should Arsenal get a good result at the San Siro, they could be favourites to go through to the next round and Wenger could keep his job.
Should they get beaten, Wenger’s Arsenal career could be about to come to an end.
One thing that won’t help the Emirates boss this week is that the club have suffered an injury blow.
That comes in the form of full-back Hector Bellerin who missed the game against Brighton at the weekend.
The Mirror report today that he missed the game due to a precautionary measure having been playing through injury.
Now, it looks as though his body has had enough of playing through it and he is set to miss the next few matches.
That couldn’t come at a worse time with the clash at the San Siro likely the biggest game of the Gunners season so far.
The report has also claimed that the player was desperate to play in Milan but will instead stay behind for the clash to receive treatment.
