Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is in big trouble with the Football Association yet again after the clash with Chelsea on Wednesday evening.
The Frenchman was particularly critical of referees in both the pre-match content and lost it in his post-match press conference.
Chelsea were awarded a contentious penalty which saw them bring the game back to 1-1 before eventually going 2-1 up.
Arsenal may have equalised in the 92nd minute through Hector Bellerin but Arsene Wenger was not happy with Anthony Taylor.
Having been faced with some questionable decisions in recent weeks, this has pushed the Gunners boss over the edge.
Now, the FA have asked the Arsenal boss to explain his comments both before and after the Chelsea clash.
Speaking after the game, Arsene explained:
“Yeah, of course, it’s all opinions, if you are on one side its opinions if you are on the other side its opinions.
“But when opinions always go the same way it’ a coincidence. Statistically, it’s built on the fact that when it’s repeated it’s not a coincidence.
“We got again a farcical decision on the penalty but we knew that as well before so we have to deal with that.”
The Frenchman now has until 6pm on January 9 to respond to the FA and could end up facing a big punishment.
Whether this could lead to a touchline ban is yet to be seen but a big fine is likely.
Just saw the Arsene Wenger post match interview. Seems to be suggesting some sort of referees conspiracy/corruption against Arsenal. Refs in this country might make mistakes but to suggest there is more to it than that, even in the heat of the moment, is outrageously unfair.
