Arsenal vs Napoli: Kieran Tierney’s agent reveals the key issue surrounding transfer

Kieran Tierney’s agent talks about Celtic future

In the Scottish edition of the Sunday Times, Celtic fans have received an update on the future of Kieran Tierney.

Tierney is a target for both Arsenal and Napoli this summer.

The Scottish international is under contract at Celtic until 2023.

Last season, Tierney played 40 matches in all competitions for Celtic.

The full-back scored once and contributed six assists.

So will Tierney still be at Celtic at the start of the 2019-20 season?

The Sunday Times have published the following quotes from Tierney’s agent, Allan Preston:

It’s all down to Celtic. If they get a price that they believe is the correct value for Kieran Tierney he could possibly be on his way. No one has hit that price yet.

He loves Celtic, he absolutely loves Celtic. Will there be a time for Kieran Tierney to go? I think there will be.

If it’s just now, it will be up to the clubs involved, Arsenal, Napoli or whoever to then put the money on the table and make Celtic think about this.

Arsenal vs Napoli

Are Napoli set to overtake Arsenal in the race to sign Tierney?

That’s predicted in the Sunday Times, as Napoli are readying a 25 million pound bid for the Celtic defender.

However, Napoli’s offer for Tierney will only happen if the Italians can sell one player first:

Napoli plan to formally bid for £25m-rated Kieran Tierney as early as this week if they manage to offload fellow left-back Mario Rui.

Will Arsenal match that offer? No, report the Sunday Times:

Arsenal (are) expected to up their bid of £15m to as much as £22m in the coming days. The Scottish champions intend to hold out for £25m.
