Arsenal vs Manchester United betting tips: Premier League match preview & predictions

Arsenal vs Manchester United prediction: Arsenal 1-2 Manchester United

Only Manchester City have picked up more points at home than Arsenal this season, although current form doesn’t favour the Gunners.

Manchester United have won nine out of nine away games since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over – including a recent victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup.

United have scored more goals than Liverpool, City, Chelsea and Arsenal on their travels this season.

Arsenal vs Manchester United: Who will win?

Due to their impressive home record this season, Arsenal are narrow favourites at 7/5. A Man United victory is priced at 2/1 while the draw can be backed at 13/5.

Both teams have scored in each of the last three Premier League meetings between the two sides. Arsenal have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last three matches. Both teams to score is 4/7.

Romelu Lukaku has scored two goals in each of his last three matches. Lukaku is 13/2 to open the scoring on Sunday and 15/8 to score anytime.

Two of the Premier League’s biggest rivals go head to head when Arsenal host Manchester United at the Emirates on Sunday.

The rivalry has quietened in recent seasons but is set to be rekindled as both clubs are pushing hard for a Champions League spot.

Manchester United extended their unbeaten run to five with an incredible 3-1 win over PSG on Wednesday.

United defied the odds by reaching the last eight of the Champions League on the away goals rule, thanks to a first half brace from  Romelu Lukaku and a stoppage time penalty from Marcus Rashford.

Arsenal suffered contrasting fortunes in their own European clash in France, losing 3-1 to Rennes in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie.

United leapfrogged Arsenal into the top four last weekend after beating Southampton 3-2 at Old Trafford. Goals from Andreas Pereira and another brace from Lukaku completed United’s comeback.

Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Spurs at Wembley in the North London derby last weekend. Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring before Harry Kane controversially equalised from the penalty spot. Unai Emery’s side finished the match with 10 men.

United knocked Arsenal out of the fourth round of the FA Cup in January. Goals from Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial handed United a 3-1 win at the Emirates. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was on target for the home side.

United and Arsenal have met 53 times in the Premier League. United have 24 wins to Arsenal’s 13.

The two sides drew 2-2 at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture in December. United twice came from behind to earn a point in one of Jose Mourinho’s final matches.

Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck remain long-term absentees.
