Arsenal vs Leicester City: Score prediction & betting tips
Leicester City easily won the reverse fixture at the King Power Stadium 2-0 in early November.
That means, since Leicester’s promotion in 2014, the Foxes have won this fixture three times with Arsenal winning six of those 11 meetings.
Also, those 11 games have produced 36 goals.

Arsenal FC vs Leicester City: What are the betting odds?
Arsenal vs Leicester City: Match preview
A very impressive win for Arsenal which may suggest, finally, things are clicking into place.
Prior to the weekend’s match, Mikel Arteta’s side had won three in a row against Southampton, Sheffield United in the FA Cup and then Norwich.
Nevertheless, they were still big underdogs heading to Molineux to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, on the stroke of half time, Kieran Tierney’s deflected cross found Bukayo Saka who volleyed home magnificently.
That was the first time Wolves have conceded a league goal since their win at Tottenham on 1 March.
The Gunners looked remarkably comfortable a goal up and, late on, Alexandre Lacazette spun Conor Coady and sealed the win with a neat finish.
That victory was the first time Arsenal have won an away Premier League game against a side starting the day above them in the table since beating eventual champions Leicester 5-2 in September 2015.
Saturday’s win lifts Arsenal up to seventh and back into a European place since they fell out of them by virtue of their defeat at Leicester in November.
After this, they travel to Tottenham in the north London derby before hosing champions Liverpool and then taking on Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final.
It’s a gruelling run of games in the space of a fortnight but they passed the first test with flying colours.
Can Arsenal make it four league wins in a row for the first time since August-October 2018?
Leicester to leave London victorious?
Leicester City earlier in the day also secured a massive win on Saturday.
The Foxes were in a rotten run of form, dating back to well before the enforced shutdown.
Between 19 October and 8 December, they won eight in a row.
However, since then Brendan Rodgers’ team amassed only 17 points from 16 games.
That includes draw with Watford and Brighton and last midweek’s 2-1 defeat at Everton since the restart.
On Saturday though, they got back to their very best at home to Crystal Palace.
The first half was goalless but just moments after the interval, Youri Tielemans’s cross picked out Kelechi Ịheanachọ who poked home.
A poachers finish.
Palace rarely threatened and goals in the 77th and 94th minute from Jamie Vardy secured a 3-0 win.
That was Leicester’s first win since the very last game before the shutdown against Aston Villa.
It means they remain third, one point above Chelsea, three above Manchester United and six clear of Wolves.
Given that fifth is currently enough for Champions League football, they’re well on course to achieve that.
Can they secure back to back league wins for the first time since New Years’ Day?
Arsenal team news vs Leicester City
After four wins in a row, Mikel Arteta suddenly has some selection headaches.
One thing is highly likely, that he’ll continue with the 3-4-3 formation used in all of Arsenal’s win during project restart.
Emiliano Martínez will continue in goal; he’s been terrific while deputising for the injured Bernd Leno.
At the back, Pablo Marí and Calum Chambers are injured.
So, Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolašinac are likely to continue either side of David Luiz in the back three.
Rob Holding is the other option; Sokratis Papastathopoulos is seemingly out of favour.
At wing-back, Héctor Bellerín could return in place of Cédric Soares who made his full Arsenal debut on Saturday after getting his first goal for the club three days earlier.
On the other side, Kieran Tierney will start despite being replaced by Ainsley Maitland-Niles after about an hour at Molineux.
In the middle, Granix Xhaka and Dani Ceballos have struck up a very good partnership.
Although, fit again Lucas Torreira is a more than viable option.
Mattéo Guendouzi and Mesut Özil though have not been in the squad for the last four and that’s unlikely to change.
In attack is where Arteta has lots of choices to make.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who’s scored 22 goals this season, will start.
Alongside him, Bukayo Saka could get the nod.
His first ever Premier League goal at Wolves means he is the second youngest Englishman to net in the competition for Arsenal; Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain holds the record by 130 days.
Nicolas Pépé is back in contention after missing Saturday’s win for personal reasons.
Up top, Eddie Nketiah could keep his place.
That’s despite the fact Alexandre Lacazette scored his first Premier League away goal since February 2019 at the weekend.
His last ten league goals had all come at home and he scored less than 100 seconds into his Premier League debut against Leicester in 2017.
However, the Frenchman will, in all likelihood, be in reserve again.
Gabriel Martinelli signed a new long-term deal last Friday, but is injured.
Leicester City team news vs Arsenal
Brendan Rodgers meanwhile has an interesting tactical decision to make.
At the weekend, he switched to a back three for the first time and could stick with it to match up Arsenal.
Whatever happens, Kasper Schmeichel will be in goal.
At the back, Jonny Evans and Çağlar Söyüncü will start.
James Justin could make up the back three although Ryan Bennett made his long-awaited debut for the club as a substitute on Saturday.
The change in system could, largely, be due to Ricardo Pereira’s long-term absence due to an ACL injury.
So, out-wide, Ben Chilwell will be on the left with Marc Albrighton as a make-shift right wing-back.
The latter scored the Premier League’s 10,000th goal against Arsenal in 2011/12 during during his time at Aston Villa.
In the middle, Wilfred Ndidi is a key man in this side.
Youri Tielemans could also keep his place but Hamza Choudhury could come in for the more attack-minded Ayoze Pérez to shore things up.
James Maddison has not played any of the last three games with a back injury so is a doubt.
In attack, Kelechi Ịheanachọ is likely to keep his place having scored in both of their last two games.
He’ll be alongside Jamie Vardy.
His brace on Saturday was his 100th and 101st Premir League goals, becoming the fourth Leicester player to achieve 100 top-flight goals.
Also, of the 29 players to have managed 100 Premier League goals, only Arsenal legend Ian Wright made his debut in the competition at an older age.
Nine of those 101 goals have come against Arsenal, meaning he’s scored at least two more goals against the Gunners then against anyone else.
Will Vardy fire his team to a first away win over Arsenal since September 1973?
