Arsenal will be hoping to cement their place in the top four with a third straight victory in all competitions.

Fresh off the back of two clean sheets, Arsenal will be confident of keeping another shutout against a Bournemouth side who struggle for goals on the road. Arsenal to win and keep a clean sheet is 13/8.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the winner when the sides last met. Aubameyang is 3/1 to open the scoring and 8/11 to score anytime.

Arsenal host Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Arsenal snuck back into the top four at the weekend after Manchester United dropped points at home to Liverpool.

The Gunners’ 2-0 home win over Southampton means that they are one point above Manchester United and three above Chelsea, although the Blues have a game in hand.

Alexandre Lacazette and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were on target for Arsenal. Bernd Leno made a number of key saves as Unai Emery’s men managed just a second home Premier League clean sheet in the last 11 matches.

Bournemouth moved up to 10th with a 1-1 home draw over Wolves on Saturday.

Joshua King opened the scoring from the penalty spot but his goal was later cancelled out when Wolves won a penalty of their own. King had the opportunity to win the match for the Cherries but he missed his second penalty with five minutes to play.

Arsenal and Bournemouth have met 7 times in the Premier League. The Gunners have won five times to Bournemouth’s one.

The reverse fixture at the Vitality Stadium finished 2-1 in Arsenal’s favour in November.

Arsenal team news vs Bournemouth

Unai Emery is expected to continue with a flat back four after two consecutive wins with that set-up.

Stephen Lichtsteiner picked up a back problem last time out but could be okay for Wednesday.

In any case, Ainsley Maitland-Niles is set to return from illness and should start at right-back.

Alex Iwobi was forced off with a muscular injury and is likely to miss out.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could start out wide in place of Iwobi.

An impressive weekend performance should see Henrikh Mkhitaryan keep his place in the side, while Mesut Ozil is likely to come in for Aaron Ramsey.

Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck are long-term absentees.

Bournemouth team news vs Arsenal

Jefferson Lerma picked up his 10th caution of the season last time out meaning he will serve a two-match ban. Dan Gosling should partner Andrew Surman in central midfield.

Dominic Solanke could start up front with Joshua King as Callum Wilson remains sidelined with a knee injury.

David Brooks is ruled out with an ankle injury that will keep him out until March.

Junior Stanislas is a major doubt. Howe will make a “late call” on the winger who has a hip flexor injury.

Lewis Cook and Simon Francis will also miss out with knee injuries.

Steve Cook will miss out due to a long standing groin problem.

January signing Chris Mepham is expected to partner Nathan Ake at the back.
