Arsenal v Bayern Munich
Arsenal will attempt to restore some pride on Tuesday evening when they host Bayern Munich at the Emirates.
The Gunners are all but out of the Champions League following their 5-1 defeat to the Bavarians in the first leg three weeks ago.
To add insult to injury, Arsenal also lost 3-1 at Anfield on the weekend, so the home crowd will be demanding a good performance. Having been dropped for that match, Sanchez comes back into the side tonight.
Ozil, who missed out at Anfield through illness, returns to the bench.
Tonight’s match could quite conceivably be Arsene Wenger’s final Champions League match as Arsenal manager. The Frenchman is under enormous pressure to leave his post as manager as large numbers of Gunners fans want a change at the club.
There are still a fair amount of loyal Wenger supporters who want him to stay however, there is even a ‘Wenger In’ march planned for this evening.
Arsenal have only ever won five Champions League knockout stage matches at the Emirates since they moved to the stadium in 2006.
