Of course, the fifth placed finish casts huge doubt over the future of Wenger, who has claimed he wants to stay at the club, yet quite if this will be the case or not after seeing the Gunners fail to get into the Champions League remains to be seen.
There are several key questions the Gunners need to answer this summer – and they’re not all about Wenger and his future.
The idea of a Sporting Director has been mooted, along with power struggles at the club – and the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are also up in the air.
The club do have the FA Cup final to possibly save their season, and a win over Champions Chelsea would go a long way to doing that by anyone’s standards.
