Arsenal training ground photos confirm personnel boost before Crystal Palace

The latest images stemming from Arsenal’s training ground point towards a timely boost amongst Mikel Arteta’s ranks.

The player inching towards a return to full fitness? Kieran Tierney.

Stopper Tierney, of course, has been forced back onto the treatment table on the red half of north London of late.

This comes after the Scottish international suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from a knee injury, during Arsenal’s pre-season friendly meeting with Nurnberg.

Tierney, in turn, has not featured since, sparking inevitable concerns when it comes to his availability for the opening weeks of the Premier League campaign.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest photos stemming from London Colney on Thursday are anything to go by, then those of a Gunners persuasion need not fret.

As showcased below, Arsenal’s defensive star was back in full training alongside the rest of Mikel Arteta’s squad this afternoon:

Tierney, as a result, is expected to be available for selection on Friday evening, when Arsenal kick the club’s Premier League season into gear in a meeting with capital rivals Crystal Palace.

It remains to be seen, though, whether the Scot has done enough to pip impressive summer arrival Oleksandr Zinchenko to a starting berth at left-back.
