Arsenal v Tottenham
North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham have been pitched against each other in the transfer market on Friday.
According to the Times, the two clubs are trying to pinch Jadon Sancho from Man City.
17-year-old Sancho has long been tipped for big things in the world of football.
Sancho, who has represented England at youth level, was brought to Man City from Watford in 2015.
The teenager is usually found on the left hand side, while he attacks his full-backs by cutting inside as a right-footer.
What’s the story?
The battle for the teenager has been described in the Times as follows:
There are fears that City could lose their young star Jadon Sancho, meanwhile, after Pep Guardiola, the City head coach, chose to leave the 17-year-old winger at home rather than bring him on tour in the US.
Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in the winger, who is yet to sign a new contract that was offered to him this year.
The story reflects the difficulty many youngsters have in trying to break into Man City’s first team from their academy.
Would Sancho have a better chance at either Arsenal or Spurs?
