As per a report from the Daily Mail this afternoon, Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are among the growing list of clubs vying for the signature of Feyenoord prodigy Orkun Kokcu.
Kokcu, a 17-year-old attacking midfielder, is widely-regarded as one of the finest young talents in European football.
Having come up through Feyenoord’s youth ranks, Kokcu was, despite his tender years, handed a place in the U19-setup of the Eredivisie outfit last season.
And to say that he took full advantage of his opportunity would be putting it lightly.
Kokcu racked up a frankly staggering 17 goals and 34 assists at U19-level last season.
In addition, the gifted teen is already a fully-established Dutch U19 international, and is currently training with Feyenoord’s first-team.
Arsenal, Chelsea & Tottenham all interested
As such, it will come as little surprise to hear that a number of Europe’s top clubs are already expressing an interest in Kokcu’s signature.
As per the aforementioned report from the Daily Mail, all of London-based trio Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are keen on the midfielder.
Ligue 1 giants PSG are also named as admirers of Kokcu’s talents.
In addition, the Mail add that the Feyenoord prodigy could depart the De Kuip stadium in January.
As such, despite Kokcu not being set to turn 18 until the end of the month, a big-money bidding war could well be set to break out for his signature upon the opening of the winter transfer window, with the Premier League’s elite firmly at the front of the queue.
