Arsenal forward Lucas Perez is set to report back for pre-season training this summer despite having not yet held discussion over his future with new manager Unai Emery, according to Goal UK journalist Chris Wheatley.
The Spaniard spent last season on loan at Deportivo de La Coruña following a disappointing debut season with the Gunners in which he fell out of favour with the club’s former manager Arsene Wenger.
Emery is looking to overhaul his squad this summer and has already begun his business early with the arrivals of Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno and the imminent departure of Jack Wilshere.
Perez to return?

Perez arrived in North London back in the summer of 2016 for £18M following a prolific season in La Liga in which he netted 19 times for Deportivo.
However, following much expectancy, the 29-year-old failed to impress Wenger and returned on loan to Spain during the 2017/2018 season.
Despite falling to impress the coaching staff, the club’s supporters grew an affection for the striker and are keen for Perez to stay and prove his worth under Emery.
For now, his future remains unclear, however, he is still on the club’s books and will return to pre-season training this summer.
Arsenal supporters’ verdict: Perez must stay
Hope Lucas Perez comes back and stays with arsenal. Really impressed me when he played. Good squad player for cup and league games. Hope Emery keeps and plays him.

Lucas Perez, Elneny & Welbeck are excellent squad players. Hope we keep them all.

I don’t know why but for some reason reason I feel Arsenal should keep Lucas Pérez because I think could be our secret weapon coming off the bench
