Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has this afternoon confirmed that he will follow through on his generous promise to help out the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.
In case you missed it, Bellerin promised to donate 50 pounds to the Grenfell cause for every minute he played at the U21 European Championships.
With his side having made it all the way to the final and the Gunners star playing a starring role in the process, Bellerin has this afternoon confirmed the sizable donation he will make.
Taking to social media platform Instagram, the 22-year-old posted the following:
The Grenfell Tower disaster has seen over 80 people confirmed dead, with another 70+ injuries having been caused by the blaze in West London.
There has been an incredible reaction to the incident, both from sports stars and the general public, with over £3.2 million having been raised, as of 3 days ago.
As a result, ‘every family that lost someone in the Grenfell Tower fire is to receive £20,000. Those seriously injured will receive £10,000 and there will be a further £10,000 fresh start grant to every family that has been made homeless (as per The Red Cross).
