Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has been getting a bit of stick off his London teammates in the dressing room after a failed move to Manchester City.
The Chilean was all set for a move on the final day of the transfer window but a deal fell through after Arsenal were unable to find a replacement.
The Gunners had targeted Monaco’s Thomas Lemar as the replacement for Alexis but even after Monaco accepting a massive bid, the deal did not go through.
That comes down to the fact that the French international was not 100% on a move to the Emirates and pulled the plug on the deal.
Even still, there would have been little time to complete a deal with Lemar playing for France on the evening of deadline day.
With that Alexis Sanchez’ move to Manchester City to link back up with Pep Guardiola fell through, much to his disappointment.
Now, his disappointment is being compounded by the fact that his Arsenal teammates won’t let him forget about his failed move!
Though it is safe to say that they are still very happy he remains at the club.
“We do banter about it [his failed move] to be fair. But at the end of the day, he’s still at Arsenal,” explained Chuba Akpom.
“Everyone is happy, the fans are happy and he’s happy.
“I think with a player like Sanchez he just blocks it out because all he wants to do is play football.

Another team enters the race for Alexis
While the players’ move did not come off in the summer transfer window, Alexis will likely get his move in January.
That is because the player would be allowed to leave for free in the summer transfer window with his contract expiring.
That means that Arsenal will want to sell the player in the winter and Man City will happily have him
Though, another team has entered the race for the players signature, something which could prove to be a hurdle for Pep.
