Arsenal vs Napoli in the race for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney
The Daily Record on Sunday suggest that Celtic’s Kieran Tierney is the subject of a transfer battle between Arsenal and Napoli.
While Napoli are yet to make a move for the Celtic full-back, Arsenal have shown their cards.
The Gunners reportedly offered Celtic £15 million for Tierney, but that bid was rejected for being too low.
In a key point in the Daily Record, it’s made clear that Tierney is up for sale at the right price.
So, will Arsenal pay up? No. Apparently they are trying to convince Celtic to accept a lowball offer:
While Celtic are looking for nearer the £25m value they agreed last summer with Everton before the Goodison side pulled out of the deal, the Gunners are expected to come back and test their resolve in the next 48 hours with a deal in the region of £20million.
On Napoli’s interest, Celtic fans are told:
With Champions League-bound Serie A giants Napoli also registering their interest, though, boss Neil Lennon is adamant the price will have to be right.
Tierney is under contract at Celtic until 2023.
Last season he played 40 matches in all competitions for Celtic. He scored once and contributed six assists.

However, the Daily Record tell readers that McGregor isn’t for sale:
Celtic have slapped a ‘not for sale’ sign on Callum McGregor after an enquiry from former boss Brendan Rodgers.
