Arsenal fans furious after ‘red card’ tackle and late Southampton goal

Bad tackle

Arsenal lost for the first time in 23 games as Southampton took all three points against them.

The Gunners went into the game hoping for all three points.

However, dire defending and some bad goalkeeping, coupled with an impressive showing from the Saints ended those hopes.

Arsenal are now looking up at Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the top four, and will face a battle to get Champions League football.

Bernd Leno was at fault for the Charlie Austin winner, and the fans were once again out in force on social media.

They made their feelings known over the late goal, the defending and also another big incident.

Some fans felt Stuart Armstrong should have been sent off for his tackle.

Of course, that’s not why Arsenal lost, and there defending will need to be far better against Spurs in the midweek game.
