Aaron Ramsey claims he’s waiting on explanation over new contract

Offer rescinded for Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey claims he has no idea why Arsenal have taken their contract offer away from him.

The player had got a £185,000 per week offer from the Gunners, and was ready to sign it.

Yet, that is now no longer on the table.

Ramsey has said he hopes he will find out why, yet no one has bothered to tell him up to this point.

“Hopefully somebody will come up and tell me why,” Ramsey told the Evening Standard.

“I’ll accept that if there’s a reason. When the time is right, I probably will find out but that hasn’t happened yet.

“There is no contract on the table at the moment so there is nothing for me to consider or whatever. We all know that the contract was taken away off the table. I’m not sure exactly why because a few weeks before we sort of agreed and I was ready to sign.”

Arsenal doing well

Arsenal are flying high in the Premier League.

Not only are the Gunners well in contention for a place in the top four, they’re also chasing the title.

It might be a leap to imagine, but the Gunners are level on points with Chelsea.

They’ve just won their 11th game in a row, and show no signs of slowing down.

It’s been an impressive time for the club, and it seems manager Emery is trying to put his stamp on the side.
