Andrija Zivkovic to Arsenal?
Arsenal are currently enduring their worst ever season under Arsene Wenger. The Gunners have lost their last 4 matches and are 33 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
In fact, The Gunners are closer to West Brom (25 points) in 20th than they are to City.
Arsenal’s only hope of salvaging their season comes in the Europa League. Wenger’s team face AC Milan at the San Siro this Thursday before the return leg at the Emirates Stadium 7 days later.
Arsenal have struggled on all fronts this season and there is no denying the fact that the squad must strengthen if Arsenal are to keep their status as one of the world’s biggest clubs.
On Tuesday evening, TalkSport reported that Arsenal are ready to bid for 21 year old Andrija Zivkovic as soon as the transfer window re-opens.
Who is he?
Zivkovic is a young, prolific and pacy winger who can also play in attacking midfield.
The Serb has 3 goals and 5 assists to his name this season.
Benfica signed Zivkovic from Partizan Belgrade back in the summer of 2016 when he was just 19 years old.
Zivkovic had scored 24 goals during his time in Serbia and showed sparks of what is to come.
Siniša Mihajlović handed Zivkovic his Serbia debut in 2013 against Japan. He became his country’s youngest ever player when he came on the pitch in place of former Manchester United midfielder, Zoran Tosic. Zivkovic was just 17 years old.
Destined for Arsenal?
Manchester United have been keen on Zivkovic’s signature for some time but Arsenal are a more suitable option for the youngster.
United have recently signed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal and have a number of fantastic wingers in their side.
If Zivkovic wants game time, then he should certainly head to North London where he is undoubtably a better player than Alex Iwobi who has featured 29 times for The Gunners this season.
